Fun For All Ages: Park City Has All The Family Covered

The very mention of Park City to people who have been there often draws a smile, as they remember some fun times that they have had there.

Whether you are renting one of the great Park City condos available or just coming for the day, there really is something to do that has the whole family covered.

Alpine Coaster is guaranteed fun

A good way to start the adventure in Park City is to head for the Alpine Coaster ride situated at the Mountain Resort.

This ride ticks all of the boxes as it combines all of the white-knuckle thrills that you expect from a roller-coaster, plus you get the added bonus of some stunning mountain scenery as your backdrop, while you wind your way down about 4,000 feet of bends, curves and loops.

Gorgoza Park

If you are still up for some outdoor fun, Gorgoza Park is the venue for tubing, which caters for all ages and abilities using seven lanes which are serviced by lifts to get you up there.

Gorgoza is a good venue for families as it also offers mini-snowmobile rides for the kids and the little ones who are not old enough to use the tubing run, can head to Fort Frosty, which also has a tubing carousel suitable for their age.

Train like an Olympian

There is nothing quite as inspiring as visiting a Winter Olympics venue and Utah Olympic Park allows visitors to Park City to enjoy an active training site that is of the highest standard.

The Olympic training site allows you to experience the adrenaline-rush associated with Bobsled and also offers challenges in the form of a Zipline as well as an Alpine Slide ride. There is also a newly installed adventure course which will test your limits.

If you visit the Olympic Park on a Sunday, you will get the chance to catch the Flying Ace All Stars Freestyle Aerial show and there are also some interesting museums to walk around on the site, dedicated to skiing and the Winter Olympics.

Jupiter Bowl

When it is time to look for an indoor activity, consider Park City’s newest entertainment venue, Jupiter Bowl.

It offers 16 lanes of the latest technology in bowling and there is the Black Diamond Bar, where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the all of the activities going on.

Learn about the environment

Our children are being taught about the importance of protecting our planet and a good education stop in your visit to the Park City area would be the Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter.

The Eco-Center is a 1,200-acre nature preserve that kids will love to explore and there is a 10,000 sq-ft building with interactive displays that talk about the surrounding environment and why it is important to preserve our wildlife.

There are hiking and biking trails to explore within the Swaner Preserve uplands, and a visit here provides a great balance between having fun and learning.

When you look at what Park City has to offer family visitors, it has all angles covered.
