Himachal Pradesh packages are quite popular for a number of reasons like ancient temples with enchanting tales, hot springs, incomparable trekking routes and even some delicious local food. During most times of the year tourists visit Himachal with friends and family alike.
One of the best places to visit in Himachal Pradesh is Kheerganga. The trek to Kheerganga begins in Barshaini, where you have to slide down from a height right at the beginning and begin the ascent. There is a designated route for trekkers and villagers to use along most stretches of the trek. It is an exhausting trek that takes about four to six hours, depending on your pace of walking and the number of breaks you take. Surrounded by mountains and the Parvati River and Beas rivers flowing swiftly below, the entire trek is a surreal experience right to top where a hot spring awaits you and a number of cafés where weary travelers can rejuvenate. There are basic accommodations available too.
Not far from Barshaini is a village called Tosh, also very beautiful and isolated from civilization. It is perched at a higher altitude and you may have to take a taxi to reach there. A number of boarding and lodging options are available and you can take your pick. The food in most small villages here is simple but has a rich taste. A hot bowl of thupka, a local soup will soothe your soul in the cold weather. Tosh is the kind of place your usual Himachal Pradesh tour package may not include but are worth the trip for the pristine natural beauty of snowcapped mountains.
Family travelers should consider opting for a Himachal Pradesh holiday package that doesn’t include a lot of trekking. If you are traveling with family, consider setting your base in Kasol and visit the hotspring at Manikaran Gurudwara, half an hour’s bus ride away and popular holy spot for Sikhs. There’s plenty to do in and around Kasol for 3 to 4 days and some delectable multi cuisine food is available. The German Bakeries serve mouthwatering desserts. Local knick knacks are available and shoppers can buy clothes, bags and a variety of souvenirs.
Himachal Pradesh is a tourist’s delight in every sense; warm hospitable people, beautiful scenic villages enveloped among endless mountains and climate and stunning natural beauty that no developed city can have.
