Destinations to add to your 2017 travel bucket list

If only we can go anywhere we like in a blink of an eye – and without spending a single penny. How awesome would that be, right? For many of us, it’s not a case of if you’ll go somewhere this year since most people just love traveling. The only question is where.

Where do you want to spend your next holiday? Where do you choose to go for that one-in-a-lifetime expedition, that relaxing getaway, that ski trip, that diving trip, that wildlife adventure you’ve always wanted? We put together a few great destinations to add to your 2017 travel bucket list.

France. Regardless of your reason for going, France is a must-see and experience destination for anyone looking to experience one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Whether you’re into chateau living in the Lore, feasting in Lyon, cycling around Provence, or sunning yourself in Riviera, or just enjoying city life in Paris, you’ll find what you’re looking for in 2017. Don’t miss Lyon, the food country’s food capital. It might not have the global recognition of Riviera or Provence, a trip there is something your mouth will think you. If you’re worried about the recent security issues in France, then make sure to find the best travel insurance promotion Singapore to maximize your trip and be absolutely worry-free.

Guatemala. I’ll put Guatemala as one of the best destinations out there. This paradise deserves to appear on bucket lists as frequently as the Caribbean and Maldives, or Egypt. Here you’ll discover the wonder of Tikal ruins, the natural attractions of Lake Atitlan, the colonial town of Antigua, and the bustling mountaintop hub of Quetzaltenango. Being surrounded by volcanoes while enjoying Lake Atitlan is a treat in itself. Go visit the charming little villages of San Marcos and San Pedro while you’re at it.

Spain. Even if you’ve already been in Spain, this destination is still worth getting to know again and again. Each region has its own amazing cuisine, its own unique traditions, and its own language. Get off the tourist trail next year and visit some remote regions such as Asturias and Galicia on the north coast, or Castilla La Mancha and Extremadura in the south.

Peru. Peru proudly boasts three of the world’s top 30 best restaurants. It’s not New York, It’s not Paris, and it’s not London. It’s Lima, the Peruvian capital, whose dining scene has gone way up high in recent years. While Central, Astrid y Gaston, and Maido restaurants garner international culinary attention any dining experience across Peru is bound to be a good one. Try out Virgilio Martinez’s Central restaurant as your first food destination.

United States. If you are looking for the adventure of a lifetime, then the United States should definitely be on your bucket list. From the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon carved by the Colorado River over millions of years to the lip-smacking wine tasting tours Sonoma; and the towering granite cliffs of Yosemite National Park to the vibrant fall foliage of New England, the country has a bag full of wonders for you. What’s more? The nightlife and the eateries that are available in different parts of the country can make you drop your plan of returning home.

Palestine. Palestinian Territories might not be high up on people’s travel bucket lists, but it’s still a surprising and fascinating part of the world – a place you won’t regret visiting. While mainstream tourism isn’t here yet, it’s still possible to tour cities like Ramallah and Nablus, check out religious locations, eat great food, and put faces to the Palestinian name. Don’t miss out on Bait al Karama, the Nablus branch of the Slow Food Movement, a cooking school and social club run exclusively by women.

End Note
